Poll Shows Eisenkot Leading, Netanyahu's Likud Party Declining

A new poll published by the Hebrew newspaper Maariv indicates a significant shift in Israeli public opinion, with the "Yisrael Beiteinu" party, led by Gadi Eisenkot, emerging as the leading party with 25 seats. In contrast, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's Likud party has seen a decline, dropping to 19 seats.

The survey, conducted by the Lazar Research Institute in collaboration with Panel4ALL, also showed an increase in support for the current government coalition, gaining three seats compared to a previous poll. This rise coincides with the "Amcha Israel" party, headed by Ofer Winter, surpassing the electoral threshold.

Other parties' projected seat counts include "B'Yachad" led by Naftali Bennett with 14 seats, "Democrats" under Yair Golan with 10 seats, and "Yisrael Beiteinu" led by Avigdor Lieberman with 9 seats. "Otzma Yehudit" led by Itamar Ben-Gvir is projected to win 8 seats, while "Yahadut HaTorah" and "Shas" are each expected to secure 7 seats.

The poll also surveyed the Joint List, led by Yousef Jabareen, which is projected to receive 7 seats. The United Arab List, headed by Mansour Abbas, is expected to get 5 seats, as is "HaTzionut HaDatit" led by Bezalel Smotrich. "Amcha Israel" is projected to win 4 seats.

The poll was conducted on Wednesday and Thursday, with 601 participants out of 4329 individuals invited to participate. The participants included Arab and Jewish citizens aged 18 and over, and the margin of error is stated to be a maximum of 4%.
