Route 10 Near Gaza Border Opens for Holiday Travelers
Route 10, located in the Paran Regional Brigade sector near the western border, will reopen to hikers and travelers starting tomorrow in anticipation of the upcoming Jewish holidays. The route will be accessible with specific hours during Rosh Hashanah and Sukkot.
During Rosh Hashanah, on September 11, the route will be open between Azuz and Har Harif from 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM. On September 12-13, access will be granted from Tzur Bar Lev observation point to Checkpoint 10/12 between 8:30 AM and 4:00 PM.
For Sukkot, on September 25, the route will again be open between Azuz and Har Harif from 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM. From September 26 to October 3, access will be available from Tzur Bar Lev observation point to Checkpoint 10/12 between 8:30 AM and 4:00 PM.
Entry to Route 10 requires presenting identification and registering at the entrance; no prior coordination is needed. The IDF stated that training exercises will keep fire zones in the south closed on weekends, urging the public to respect restricted areas and allow security forces to conduct their missions.
