IDF Spokesperson
Translated & summarized from IDF Spokesperson by baba
The story · English

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that Route 10, located in the Paran Regional Brigade sector near the western border, will be opened to hikers during the upcoming holiday periods. The route will be accessible for Rosh Hashanah on September 11, between Azuz and Har Harif, from 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM. Additionally, on September 12 and 13, a section from the Bar Lev Observation Point to Checkpoint 10/12 will be open from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM.

During the Sukkot holiday, Route 10 will open on September 25, between Azuz and Har Harif, from 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM. From September 26 to October 3, the segment from the Bar Lev Observation Point to Checkpoint 10/12 will be open daily from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM.

The IDF stated that training exercises will continue in firing zones across southern and northern Israel throughout the weekends, and these areas will remain closed to hikers. The military urged the public to avoid restricted areas to allow security forces to carry out their missions. Entry to Route 10 requires presenting identification and registering at the entrance; no prior coordination is needed.
