Israel Warns Iran of Devastating Response to Any Attack
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz issued a stark warning to Iran on Sunday, stating that Tehran might soon attack Israel due to severe economic pressure and distress. Katz emphasized that Israel is on high alert and prepared for such a possibility, vowing a powerful response to any Iranian aggression.
"Given the possibility that due to the economic stranglehold and heavy pressure Iran is under, they will decide to act against Israel, I reiterate my warning to the Iranian leadership: any attack on Israel for any reason and in any place will be met with a powerful response," Katz stated. He specified that Israel's retaliation would include targeting Iran's central energy infrastructure, which he said provides resources for its war and terror apparatus and harms Israeli civilians.
Katz asserted that such a strike would set Iran back decades and further destabilize the ayatollah regime, which he believes the Iranian people despise and wish to see fall. He added that the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) are on alert and ready for action, following directives from the Prime Minister and himself.
The defense minister made these remarks ahead of the Rosh Hashanah holiday, while also extending New Year greetings to the Jewish community in Iran, calling them part of a glorious Jewish history and assuring them they are always in Israel's heart. He also expressed hope for a liberated Tehran in the coming year and concluded with a general blessing for the Jewish people worldwide to have a good year, with the removal of enemies and ill-wishers.
