Israel Warns Iran of Devastating Retaliation for Any Attack

Defense Minister Israel Katz issued a stark warning to Iran on Thursday, stating that any attack on Israel would be met with a decisive response, potentially targeting previously untouched sites including energy facilities. Katz conveyed New Year wishes to the Jewish community in Iran, calling them part of a "glorious Jewish history," and expressed hope for a future "liberated Tehran" for the Iranian people.

Katz elaborated that due to Iran's economic struggles and pressure, its leadership might consider acting against Israel. He reiterated, "Any attack on Israel, for any reason and in any place, will be met with a powerful response that will inflict severe damage on Iran, the likes of which it has not yet sustained, including on its central energy facilities." He added that such a blow would set Iran back decades and further destabilize the "ayatollah regime that the Iranian people so despise and yearn for its downfall."

The Defense Minister affirmed that the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) are on high alert and prepared for any mission, acting under the directives of the Prime Minister and himself. Katz concluded by wishing the Jewish people a happy new year and the downfall of their enemies.
