Israeli Defense Minister Vows Retaliation Against Iran's Energy Sector

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz released a video message on Thursday addressed to the Jewish community in Iran, coinciding with the approach of the Jewish New Year. In the message, Katz invoked a modified version of the traditional Passover phrase "Next year in Jerusalem," stating, "Next year in Tehran, freed from oppression and tyranny." He then issued a direct warning to Iranian leadership, asserting that any attack on Israel, regardless of its origin or reason, would be met with a powerful response. Katz specified that this retaliation would include strikes against Iran's primary energy facilities. The minister suggested that such attacks could set Iran's development back by decades and further destabilize the current regime. He concluded by stating that such a blow would further destabilize the ayatollahs' regime, which he believes the Iranian people deeply despise and wish to see overthrown.
