UK-Israel Innovation Conference Held in London Amidst Political Tensions
A joint British-Israeli innovation conference took place at the London Stock Exchange on Wednesday, September 9, despite strained political relations between the two countries. The event was organized by the London Stock Exchange, the UK's Department for International Trade's economic attaché, and the Israel Export Institute. Attendees included London Stock Exchange CEO Julia Hoggett, Head of the Department for International Trade Roy Fisher, Israel's Economic Attaché in London Matan Safran, and prominent figures from the investment and technology sectors.
Twenty-two Israeli companies showcased their innovations in cybersecurity, fintech, cleantech, sustainability, and artificial intelligence. Ten leading venture capital funds also participated, presenting their investment opportunities. The conference attracted dozens of major investors from London's financial district, including representatives from multinational corporations, institutional investors, private equity funds, and family offices managing multi-billion dollar portfolios.
