Man to Be Charged With Adding Anesthetic to Baby Fruit Purees
A statement of charges will be filed today, Thursday, against Yan Shamla, a 41-year-old resident of Beersheba, who is suspected of adding anesthetic substances to fruit purees intended for infants. The police announced that a request would also be submitted to extend his detention for an additional five days pending the indictment.
According to police, the Shin Bet security agency was involved in the investigation. Investigators analyzed security camera footage from various locations, conducted investigative actions, and employed advanced technological means.
