UAE President Told CIA Chief He Warned Netanyahu Before Oct. 7 Attack

UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed told CIA Director William Burns that he had warned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu about an impending attack prior to the October 7th Hamas assault, according to a report by Israel's Kan news. The report did not specify if bin Zayed provided Burns with details about a specific Hamas attack or Yahya Sinwar's plans.

N12 News, citing a source close to UAE leadership, also reported that a warning was conveyed to Israel before October 7th. However, this source did not reveal the exact content, method of delivery, or the specific recipient within Israel. It remains unclear if this refers to the same warning that bin Zayed allegedly conveyed directly to Netanyahu, as previously reported by Haaretz.

Ynet, quoting a senior Middle Eastern intelligence source, stated that the UAE provided Israel with information from a "highly reliable" source regarding Hamas's preparation for a "significant and imminent" attack. This source also declined to disclose how the information was transmitted or if bin Zayed discussed it directly with Netanyahu.

Channel 13 reported that former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, in private conversations, claimed bin Zayed personally informed him of his warning to Netanyahu before October 7th. Bennett denied this information, stating it was "not true" and that he does not comment on his conversations with foreign leaders.

Netanyahu has categorically denied the Haaretz report, asserting that no such conversation with the UAE president took place during that period. His office stated that a review of the prime minister's call logs found no record of such a discussion.
