Israeli Military Concludes Large-Scale Readiness Exercise in Eilat and Arava

The Israeli military, led by the 80th Division in cooperation with the Air Force and Navy, has completed a large-scale exercise aimed at enhancing readiness and defense capabilities in the Eilat and Arava regions. The drill involved forces operating across multiple fronts simultaneously, practicing dozens of multi-armed scenarios. These included simulated naval infiltrations, a hijacking incident, the firing of curved projectiles, mass casualty events, and infiltrations into civilian sites such as hotels, schools, and beaches.

The exercise also tested the rapid mobilization of forces and the transition from routine to emergency status, as well as decision-making processes and operational responses at all command levels. Additionally, the 96th Division was unexpectedly called upon to manage an emergency scenario involving simulated infiltrations from the eastern border into the Dead Sea area.

The IDF stated that a thorough review of the lessons learned from the exercise will be conducted to identify weaknesses and strengths, with the goal of continuously improving defensive capabilities and readiness for various potential threats.
