Rina Matzliach Contrasts Her Journalism Style With Amit Segal's
Veteran Israeli journalist Rina Matzliach stated that she and fellow Channel 12 news anchor Amit Segal are "two journalists of different kinds" and that "there isn't much in common" between them. Speaking in an interview with Omri Asnaheim on Channel 13, Matzliach explained her perspective on their differing approaches to the profession.
Matzliach described her own entry into journalism as being driven by a sense of public service, comparing herself to a tax official dedicated to her job. In contrast, she characterized Segal as someone who "came to advance his ideology."
When asked about the last time she spoke with Segal, with whom she worked for many years at Channel 12, Matzliach indicated it had been a long time. She reiterated their fundamental differences, emphasizing her view that she entered the media to serve the public, while Segal's motivation is ideological advancement.
