Rina Matzliach Breaks Down on Air Discussing Family Loss

Veteran Israeli journalist and media personality Rina Matzliach, 70, appeared on Channel 16's morning program hosted by Yael Bar Zohar to discuss her new book. The interview quickly turned personal as Matzliach shared her deep grief following recent family losses. She spoke candidly about the void left in her life after the passing of her older brother, who had been a significant parental figure, about a year ago. "Because I didn't get married and don't have children, my family... it's like I'm a bit out of balance in my life right now," she admitted tearfully on camera.

Matzliach also reflected on her mother, who died at 95, recalling their final moments together. She recounted a poignant conversation where she expressed her profound fear of their eventual separation, and how her mother sought to comfort her, assuring her she would find the strength to carry on.
