Rina Matzliach Reveals Rift with Colleague Amit Segal
Veteran Israeli journalist Rina Matzliach has revealed that she has not spoken to her former colleague Amit Segal for a significant period. Matzliach, who left Channel 13's news division after approximately 30 years, stated in an interview with Omri Asenheim on Channel 13 that she and Segal are no longer in contact.
Matzliach's departure from the news company came after she was moved from the program "Meet the Press" to make way for Segal and Ben Caspit. When asked by Asenheim when she last texted Segal, Matzliach responded, "I haven't spoken to Amit Segal in a long time."
When questioned about the reason for the estrangement, Matzliach explained, "Because we are two different types of journalists and we don't really have much in common." She elaborated on their differences, stating, "I came to media as a public servant. I came to media like a tax authority clerk who needs to do her job. And he came to advance his ideology. We are different."
