Temperatures Drop, Skies Clear Ahead of Jewish New Year Holiday

Israel is set for a pleasant shift in weather conditions as temperatures are expected to drop and cloud cover to decrease in the coming days, offering relief for travelers and worshippers preparing for the High Holidays. The change will begin gradually over the next two days, culminating on the eve of Rosh Hashanah (the Jewish New Year) with a noticeable easing of the heat and particularly comfortable weather.

Wednesday will be partly cloudy to clear, with a slight decrease in temperatures, especially in the mountains and inland areas. However, temperatures will remain slightly above the seasonal average. Thursday is not expected to bring significant changes in temperature.

On Friday, the eve of Rosh Hashanah, a further slight drop in temperatures is anticipated, along with a reduction in heat intensity. The evening of the holiday itself will be relatively comfortable, particularly in mountainous regions. Throughout the holiday weekend, Saturday and Sunday, conditions will be partly cloudy to clear. Saturday will see no significant changes, while on Sunday and Monday, temperatures and heat levels will be typical for this time of year, according to the Meteorological Service.
