Israeli Artists Honored with Lifetime Achievement Awards for 2026

The Association of Israeli Artists (AMI) has announced the recipients of its 2026 Lifetime Achievement Awards, to be presented at the organization's annual "Giving Honor" event. This year's awards will recognize a diverse group of artists and cultural figures across music, acting, theater, and dance for their long-standing contributions to Israeli culture.

In the music category, honorees include Nurit Galron, Itzik Kala, Rami Danuch (a founder of the band "Tzlilei Ha'oud"), the duo Ra'am (Yisrael Gotsdiner and Beni Rosenbaum), and Gini Rabin for her work in choral singing. The acting and theater awards will be presented to veteran actor, director, and comedian Shmuel Vilozni, prominent comedian Eli Yatzpan, and Shifra Milstein for her extensive work on stage and screen.

Dance recipients are Professor Amir Kolban, founder and artistic director of the Kolban Dance Company, and Dr. Rena Badash, a choreographer, senior dance teacher, and interdisciplinary performance researcher. Alongside the lifetime achievement awards, AMI will also present a Breakthrough Artist award to singer-songwriter Alma Gov for her original and unique work representing a new voice in Israeli youth creation.

A special award for contribution to culture will be given to Arie Yamini, the retiring director of the Petah Tikva Cultural Hall, acknowledging his decades of work in nurturing artists and promoting cultural activities. The "Giving Honor 2026" event, hosted by actor Dan Shapira, will take place on Wednesday, October 23rd, at 8:00 PM at the Petah Tikva Cultural Hall, under the auspices of the Petah Tikva Municipality and other sponsors including Eshkolot, ACUM, FIL, and ILAM.

Additional sponsors include Teddy Shauli of Dubnov 8 restaurant and the family of the late Dudu Dotan, former chairman of AMI.
