Israeli Artists Honored with Lifetime Achievement Awards for 2026

The Association of Israeli Artists (A.M.I.) announced its 2026 Lifetime Achievement Award recipients on Tuesday. The awards, recognizing prominent figures in music, theater, and dance, will be presented at the association's annual "Giving Honor" event.

In music, the honorees include Nurit Galron, Itzik Kala, Rami Danoch (co-founder of the band "Tzlilei Ha'oud"), the duo "Tzemed Ra'im" (Yisrael Gotsdiner and Beni Rosenbaum), and Gini Rabin for her work in choral singing. The theater and acting awards will go to Shmuel Vilozny, Eli Yatzpan, and Shפרה Milstein. In dance, the recipients are Professor Amir Kolben (founder of the "Kolben Dance" company) and Dr. Rena Badash.

Additionally, the "Breakthrough Artist" award will be presented to singer-songwriter Alma Gov, and Arie Yamini, the retiring director of the Petah Tikva Cultural Hall, will receive an award for special contribution to culture.

"A Lifetime Achievement Award is our way of saying thank you to the artists and creators who have shaped Israeli culture for years and become part of the soundtrack, stage, and story of us all," said Irit Frank, Chairwoman of the Association of Israeli Artists. "This year's winners represent a wide spectrum of fields, styles, and generations, and each has a unique and profound contribution to Israeli culture. Alongside honoring those who have worked for decades, it is important for us to look forward, make space for the new generation, and continue to strengthen Israeli creation in all its diversity. We are happy and excited to give them the honor they deserve at the 'Giving Honor' event this coming December."

The award ceremony is scheduled for Wednesday, December 23, 2026, at 8:00 PM at the Petah Tikva Cultural Hall, hosted by actor Dan Shapira.
