Bardugo Tapped for 11th Spot on Likud Party List

Following extensive behind-the-scenes negotiations, Yaakov Bardugo is reportedly set to be placed at the 11th position on the Likud party's electoral list. This specific placement has been a central point of discussion regarding reserved slots within the party, and an agreement appears to be nearing finalization as the list deadline approaches.

Bardugo's potential inclusion at number 11 is understood to be part of the Likud's reserved positions allocation. The negotiations over this spot have been intense in recent hours, with the current indication suggesting a compromise has been reached.

In June, Bardugo had previously spoken about the possibility of entering political life. He stated, "I have held public office in the past, and I know the system well," adding, "Let them not try to scare me away from doing this." He later specified his ambition, declaring, "I am ready for the role of Justice Minister and can take it upon myself. If others do not want this role, I am prepared to do it."

Bardugo also acknowledged the significant personal, familial, and social cost associated with such a senior and sensitive position, stating, "This is a role that carries a very heavy personal, familial, and social price, but I am prepared to do it."
