Ben-Gvir Taps Chief of Staff for Seventh Spot on Otzma Yehudit Knesset List

National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir announced on Sunday that his chief of staff for the past four years, attorney Hanamel Dorfman, will be placed seventh on the Otzma Yehudit party list for the upcoming 26th Knesset.

Dorfman, 31, has served as Ben-Gvir's chief of staff at the National Security Ministry, overseeing policy implementation with bodies such as the Israel Police, the Israel Prison Service, and the Fire and Rescue services, as well as other government ministries. According to Otzma Yehudit, Dorfman was involved in increasing budgets for the police, prison service, and fire department, upgrading organizational capabilities, establishing volunteer "alert squads," and advancing a firearms reform.

Dorfman is married with five children and resides in the "Havat Yishuv Hadat" settlement in the Gush Shilo region of the West Bank.

The Otzma Yehudit list is beginning to take shape, with Ben-Gvir himself at the top. Former Likud MK Tali Gottlieb is second, followed by Yitzhak Wasserlauf in third and Amichai Eliyahu in fourth. Limor Son Har-Melech and Yitzhak Kroizer are also slated for spots on the list, with Dorfman at seventh.

Further down the list, Otzma Yehudit activist Tzachi Eliyahu is slated for eighth place, followed by Chabad activist Yossi Goldberg in ninth. The party's CEO and a bereaved brother, Itiel Neeman, will be tenth, and attorney David Bavli, Ben-Gvir's legislative advisor, will be eleventh.
