Media Personality Bardugo Eyed for Reserved Spot on Netanyahu's Likud List
Israeli media reports suggest that media personality and political commentator Yaakov Bardugo may be allocated one of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's reserved spots on the Likud party list for the upcoming Knesset elections. Bardugo is known as a supporter of Netanyahu and a close ally. While Likud has not officially confirmed Bardugo's inclusion, if the appointment proceeds, he would be among the candidates personally selected by the prime minister.
Bardugo recently drew attention following a meeting with Shin Bet head David Barnea. During this meeting, Bardugo called for an investigation into Channel 12 over an alleged leak of information concerning the timing of a potential war with Iran earlier this year. He had previously questioned why Channel 12 anchor Yonit Levi and other commentators appeared "fully made up" shortly after the start of events on the morning of February 28.
