Yaakov Bardugo Warns Likud Faces Political Suicide If Moshe Kahlon Joins Party List

Yaakov Bardugo, a political commentator on Channel 14, sharply criticized reports that former Finance Minister Moshe Kahlon was offered a reserved spot on the Likud party list by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Speaking on Galei Yisrael radio on Monday, Bardugo called the move "political suicide" if true, warning that it would undermine the national camp's current direction. He cited Kahlon's past actions, including his role in establishing the public broadcasting corporation, supporting the IDF's controversial "Tirshah" plan under Gadi Eisenkot, and opposing judicial reforms alongside Aharon Barak. Bardugo described Kahlon as "the deep state of the deep state" and said bringing him into Likud would represent a failure of the efforts fought for over the past four years.
