As parties prepare for the 2026 election, former finance minister Moshe Kahlon is again being floated in political talks. According to a Channel 14 report, Kahlon is examining the possibility of joining Gadi Eisenkot’s party.
The report comes after earlier coverage that Naftali Bennett met with Kahlon and asked to discuss his future political plans. Kahlon later confirmed that the meeting took place.
In conversations with people close to him, Kahlon said, “I am a Likudnik and I remain a Likudnik.”
In April, there were also reports of contacts between Kahlon and former minister and former ambassador Gilad Erdan about possibly running together on a new right-wing party list. Both Kahlon and Erdan denied those reports.
