Poll Shows Gadi Eisenkot Could Form Coalition Without Arab Parties

A new poll suggests that if elections were held today, Gadi Eisenkot could form a coalition government with a majority of 61 seats in the Knesset, even without the support of Arab parties. The survey, conducted by Menachem Lazar for Maariv, indicates that Eisenkot's party would be the largest with 25 mandates.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's Likud party would garner only 20 mandates, according to the poll. The "left bloc" would include Meretz with 13 mandates, the Democrats with 10, Yisrael Beiteinu with 9, and the reservists party (led by Harel and Zelicha) with 4, totaling 61 seats.

On the right, Likud has 20 mandates, Otzma Yehudit 8, Shas and United Torah Judaism 7 each, and Religious Zionism 5. The "right bloc" would have 47 mandates, with the "Winter" party failing to pass the electoral threshold.

Arab parties would collectively secure 12 mandates, with Hadash-Ta'al-Balad receiving 7 and Ra'am receiving 5. Other parties are shown to be far from the electoral threshold.
