Israel is set to experience a significant rise in temperatures on Tuesday, September 8, with the heatwave reaching its peak for the week. The increase is expected to be most pronounced in mountainous and inland areas, leading to extremely high temperatures across most regions. Cities will see daytime highs including Jerusalem at 33°C, Tel Aviv at 33°C, Netanya at 31°C, Ariel at 33°C, Haifa at 32°C, and the northern city of Afula reaching 37°C. Further north, Safed will reach 32°C, Tiberias and the Sea of Galilee area 37°C, Kiryat Shmona 36°C, and Katzrin in the Golan Heights 36°C. Coastal cities like Ashdod and Ashkelon will experience 32°C, while Kiryat Gat will reach 34°C. In the south, Be'er Sheva will hit 36°C, Arad 34°C, and the Dead Sea area near Ein Gedi 38°C. Eilat is forecast to be the hottest, with a daytime high of 40°C. Nighttime temperatures will also remain elevated, with lows in Tel Aviv at 26°C and Eilat at 28°C.
