The story · English

A 53-year-old man from Beit Shemesh is in serious condition after choking on food during a meal at his home in the Ramat Daled neighborhood. First responders from United Hatzalah, including Yoel Lisoyar, Benzi Barminka, and Yissachar Yaakovzan, arrived at the scene after the family reported the incident. According to the family, the man choked on a piece of schnitzel and lost consciousness.

Paramedics immediately initiated advanced resuscitation efforts, including chest compressions, artificial respiration, and the use of a defibrillator. After his pulse returned, the patient was transported to Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem for further treatment, remaining in serious condition.
