Five IDF soldiers were wounded Wednesday morning in southern Lebanon after two explosive drones struck the area. One soldier was seriously injured, two were moderately hurt, and two sustained light injuries.
According to the report, the first drone exploded near a Givati Brigade force operating in southern Lebanon under the 36th Division, wounding four soldiers. A rescue team then arrived, and a second explosive drone was launched at the evacuation force, injuring a fifth soldier.
All of the wounded were evacuated to hospitals, and their families were notified. The article says the IDF troops continue routine operations inside the so-called Yellow Line in Lebanese territory, including destroying terror infrastructure and following standing orders to shoot to kill if they encounter militants.
The piece also says the gap between reports of a developing US-Iran agreement and the absence of updated operational instructions is creating uncertainty among the troops. One soldier in the sector said, "We have not lowered the level of alert. We are still operating as if the threat is right at our doorstep, בדיוק כפי שהיה לפני כן. We are skeptical and waiting to see what happens."
