Israel Strikes Hamas Infrastructure After Gaza Border Blast
The Israeli military announced that a Hamas explosive device detonated against an engineering vehicle of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) near the Gaza Strip's "Yellow Line" border area on Tuesday. No soldiers were injured in the incident, which the IDF described as a "blatant violation" of the ceasefire agreement.
In response to the attack, the IDF carried out strikes overnight targeting Hamas infrastructure used by the organization to advance terror plots against Israeli civilians and soldiers. The military stated that its forces in the Southern Command are deployed in the area in accordance with the agreement and will continue to operate to neutralize any immediate threats.
The IDF statement emphasized that the explosive device belonged to Hamas, which it labeled a "terrorist organization." The incident occurred in the northern Gaza Strip.
