IDF Strikes Hamas Underground Infrastructure in Gaza Amid Ceasefire Violations

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) carried out an airstrike two days ago targeting an underground infrastructure facility of the Hamas terrorist organization in the Deir al-Balah area of the Gaza Strip. The IDF reported that despite the ceasefire agreement, Hamas has been attempting to rebuild its underground network. Consequently, three targets within this subterranean infrastructure were attacked to destroy it.

The IDF spokesperson stated that Hamas systematically places its infrastructure within densely populated civilian areas in Gaza, cynically exploiting residents and using them as human shields to advance terrorist activities. The Southern Command forces remain deployed in the area in accordance with the ceasefire agreement and will continue operations to eliminate any immediate threats.

This operation reflects ongoing Israeli efforts to prevent Hamas from rearming or reconstructing military capabilities under the guise of civilian protection, maintaining vigilance to uphold security in the region.
