Israel Strikes Hezbollah Sites in Southern Lebanon After Drone Attack
Lebanese media reported that the Israeli military conducted airstrikes overnight on several areas in southern Lebanon. The targets included a building in the town of Deir ez-Zahrani that the Israeli army had previously warned residents to evacuate. The military stated that the strike was in response to a "blatant violation of the ceasefire" by Hezbollah, which launched a booby-trapped drone towards Israeli forces.
In a warning issued prior to the strike, the Israeli army informed residents near the targeted building in Deir ez-Zahrani that they were located close to a Hezbollah facility that would be attacked. The warning urged all inhabitants of the specified building and adjacent structures to evacuate immediately and move at least 300 meters away for their safety.
Additionally, Lebanese media reported Israeli airstrikes on the town of Arabsalim in the Nabatieh district, also in southern Lebanon. The reports did not specify if these strikes were related to the Deir ez-Zahrani incident or if there were any casualties.
