Israel Prize Winner Adi Altshuler Joins Gadi Eisenkot's 'Yashar!' Party

Adi Altshuler, a recipient of the Israel Prize and the Presidential Medal of Distinction, has joined the "Yashar!" party led by Gadi Eisenkot. The party announced on Sunday that Altshuler will be their candidate for Minister of Education in a future government.

Eisenkot praised Altshuler as one of Israel's most prominent figures in education and society, highlighting her two decades of dedication to education, fostering connections, and building a value-based, cohesive Israeli society. He noted her establishment of educational and social initiatives that have impacted an entire generation and demonstrated the power of educational leadership to effect change. Eisenkot expressed his pleasure that Altshuler accepted his request to be Yashar!'s candidate for Education Minister, citing her experience, vision, and proven ability to lead national educational reform.

Altshuler, who founded the "Knafayim Shel Krembo" youth movement and the "Zikaron Ba'salon" (Memory in the Living Room) initiative, and co-founded the inclusive "Inklu" education network, stated that she cannot stand aside during this "historic moment" and "time of change." As a mother whose children attend Israeli schools and someone who has worked to change education from the outside, she is joining Eisenkot and his team because she believes in their leadership and sincerity in serving the country with deep responsibility and love for Israel.
