Israeli Security Forces to Conduct Major Drills in Eilat and Arava
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and police announced that a large-scale security forces drill will commence tomorrow in the Eilat region and the Arava desert. Increased movement of security forces, aircraft, and naval vessels is expected to be noticeable starting today. The exercise, led by Division 80, will simulate various scenarios, including surprise attacks and incursions into Israeli territory via air, sea, and land.
The drill aims to test the defense of communities and the Eilat area, assess forces' readiness, and evaluate aerial and naval capabilities for regional defense. The exercise is scheduled to take place over the coming days.
