IDF Conducts Large-Scale Surprise Drill in Jordan Valley to Test Emergency Readiness

At dawn, forces from the Jordan Valley and Valleys Brigade, alongside Border Police units and regional defense forces, were mobilized for a large-scale surprise exercise in the Jordan Valley. The drill marked the inauguration of the brigade's new deputy commander and involved complex extreme scenarios to test rapid transition from routine to emergency.

Participating units included the 'Jordan Lions' and 'Valley Lions' battalions, Border Police intelligence units from Judea and Samaria, regional defense forces, and quick response teams. The exercise simulated various operational challenges such as militant infiltrations into settlements and outposts, extensive searches for fleeing terrorists, and casualty evacuations under fire.

Additionally, the drill activated rapid response forces, medical and logistical systems, and practiced force redeployment between sectors and civilian evacuations. Real-time threat detection and neutralization were exercised through coordinated intelligence and collection efforts.

The exercise aimed to assess and enhance the brigade's readiness to swiftly shift from routine to emergency status, strengthen inter-unit cooperation, and ensure a unified response to diverse threats in the sector.
