Temperatures Drop Slightly as Light Rain Expected in Northern Israel

Israel is set to experience a slight drop in temperatures on Sunday, with partly cloudy skies and a chance of light, localized rain in the north and center of the country until the afternoon. The clouds are expected to dissipate later in the day, particularly in mountainous areas and the Gulf of Eilat.

Coastal cities like Tel Aviv, Haifa, and Ashdod will remain hot and humid, while Beer Sheva, Afula, and Eilat will experience heavier heat. Jerusalem and Mitzpe Ramon will have relatively pleasant weather, especially in the evening and at night. Ashkelon will be partly cloudy with no significant temperature changes.

The Mediterranean Sea will be wavy, with wave heights ranging from 60 to 150 centimeters along the southern coast, 60 to 130 centimeters in the central coast, and 60 to 120 centimeters on the northern coast. Water temperatures will be around 30 degrees Celsius, with winds reaching approximately 36 km/h.

The Gulf of Eilat will see calmer seas, with waves between 10 and 40 centimeters and water temperatures around 28 degrees Celsius. Winds in Eilat could reach up to 44 km/h.

Looking ahead, the Israel Meteorological Service forecasts that September will be hotter than the multi-year average across the country. Expected temperatures for Sunday include: Jerusalem 19-31°C, Tel Aviv 23-30°C, Haifa 25-29°C, Afula 23-33°C, Ashdod 24-30°C, Beer Sheva 21-33°C, Mitzpe Ramon 17-28°C, and Eilat 27-37°C.
