Man Suffers Critical Drowning on Tel Aviv Beach, Rescued by Bystanders
A man in his 30s was critically injured after drowning on a Tel Aviv beach on Saturday evening. Bystanders pulled the unconscious man from the water at an unmarked section of the shore south of Tel Baruch Beach. Paramedics from Magen David Adom (MDA) arrived at the scene at approximately 5:26 PM after receiving a report.
Upon arrival, MDA teams found the man unresponsive, without pulse or breathing. They immediately began advanced resuscitation efforts and provided medical treatment. The man was then transferred to a mobile intensive care unit and evacuated to Ichilov Hospital, with resuscitation efforts continuing en route.
Rescuers described the man's condition as extremely critical and stated he was undergoing resuscitation. MDA paramedics Shimon and Yosef Dahan reported that the teams accessed the location via the Corniche street near Tel Baruch Beach, proceeding south to the unmarked coastal strip where citizens had already removed the man from the sea.
They added that the man was found lying on the sand, unconscious, with no pulse or breathing. The teams, in coordination with additional paramedics and rapid response teams, performed advanced resuscitation before transporting him to the intensive care vehicle and then to the hospital, continuing medical care during the transfer.
