IDF Completes Clearance of Hezbollah Underground Infrastructure in Mount Ali Taher

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced on Thursday the completion of operations to clear Hezbollah's underground infrastructure in the Mount Ali Taher area, located within the security zone. Forces from the 36th Division recently worked to clear two underground routes in the region, achieving operational control both above and below ground. The area was cleared of militants, with some killed and others fleeing.

According to the IDF statement, the underground facilities included operations rooms, weapons storage areas, generator rooms, living quarters, and sanitary and kitchen facilities, which allowed militants to manage combat and stay in the area for extended periods. The IDF described this as strategic infrastructure built over two decades, funded and planned by Iran.

IDF operations are ongoing to neutralize the cleared underground infrastructure. Following the completion of these activities, the IDF will redeploy defensively based on situational assessments. The military emphasized that any attempt by Hezbollah to conduct operations against IDF forces will be met with force, while reaffirming its commitment to the ceasefire agreement in Lebanon.
