Leumi Bank App Now Available in Russian and Four Other Languages
Bank Leumi has expanded the language options for its mobile application, making it available in Hebrew, English, Arabic, Russian, and French. These new language versions are being rolled out to customers this week. Users can now select their preferred interface language to access account information and perform essential banking operations.
The updated app allows customers to check balances for current and foreign currency accounts, order credit cards or checkbooks, make multi-currency transfers, execute Zahav transfers, exchange currency, open deposits, apply for loans, and utilize other banking services. Leumi plans to add more operations to the multilingual versions in the future, though the Hebrew version currently offers the most comprehensive functionality, supporting nearly all common banking transactions. This includes features like booking a video consultation with a banker via Zoom and completing a fully digital mortgage application process.
This multilingual app launch is part of broader customer service enhancements at Leumi. In recent years, the bank has extended call center hours, including offering 24-hour service and service after Saturday. Leumi also commits to resolving customer inquiries within one business day, with a dedicated service team reporting to the CEO for issues that cannot be resolved within that timeframe.
Eyal Efrat, head of Leumi's banking division, stated, "We strive to make our services accessible to customers across all channels. The launch of the app in five languages reflects our approach that modern banking should be not only technological but also accessible, personalized, and simple." He added that the new feature will enable hundreds of thousands of customers to manage their finances in their preferred language at any time and from anywhere.
