Bank Leumi Launches Multilingual App, Including Russian

Bank Leumi is set to become the first Israeli bank to offer its mobile application in Russian, alongside Hebrew and English. The new language options, including Arabic and French, will be rolled out gradually starting next week, making it the first banking app in Israel to support five languages. Russian-speaking customers will be able to manage their accounts fully through the app, accessing services such as checking balances, ordering cards and checkbooks, making multi-currency transfers, instant payments via the ZAHAV system, currency exchange, opening deposits, and applying for loans. The bank plans to expand the range of services available in all five languages in the future. Currently, approximately 100% of the most requested banking operations, including video consultations and digital mortgage applications, are accessible via the app. This multilingual initiative is part of a broader enhancement of Bank Leumi's customer service, which includes extending call center hours to 24/6, guaranteeing same-day responses to inquiries, and establishing a dedicated team for unresolved customer issues. Previously, Bank Leumi began notifying customers about an upcoming one-time grant payment of 700 shekels, expected to be deposited in July.
