English defender James Tavernier is on the verge of joining Maccabi Tel Aviv, having completed the final steps before his official announcement. Tavernier arrived at the club's Kiryat Shalom training ground and conducted a solo training session on the field on Tuesday, separate from the rest of the team. He has successfully passed his medical examinations, and the official announcement of his signing is expected imminently.
Tavernier is reportedly set to sign a one-year contract with an option for an additional season. The delay in the official announcement is attributed solely to bureaucratic reasons, with Maccabi Tel Aviv anticipating the completion of the process soon.
