Maccabi Tel Aviv Signs English Football Star James Tavernier

The 34-year-old joins the club on a one-year contract with an option for an additional season, arriving as a free agent after a distinguished 11-year tenure with Scottish club Glasgow Rangers.

Tavernier, who successfully passed his medical examinations in Israel, is considered one of the most exciting players to join the Israeli league in recent years. During his time with Rangers, he became a symbol of the club, demonstrating exceptional leadership and offensive capabilities from a defensive position. He amassed 565 appearances, scoring 144 goals and providing 148 assists, largely due to his proficiency in free kicks and penalties.
