Maccabi Tel Aviv will play in next season’s UEFA Conference League qualifying rounds after missing out on the Europa League spot, which went to Beitar Jerusalem. The Tel Aviv club will enter in the second qualifying round, skipping one round because of its seeding, and is expected to remain seeded throughout much of qualifying.
Among the more notable possible opponents are IFK Gothenburg of Sweden, Debrecen of Hungary, Polissya Zhytomyr of Ukraine and CSKA Sofia of Bulgaria. In all, there are 43 possible opponents before the draw is narrowed down, and some of them will come from winners of the first qualifying round.
To reach the league stage, Maccabi Tel Aviv must survive three ties, two qualifying rounds and a playoff round. The draw for the second qualifying round is scheduled for June 17, 2026.
Maccabi’s first match will be on July 23, with the return leg a week later on July 30. The qualifying campaign is due to end on August 27, 2026, with the playoff second leg.
