Beitar Jerusalem and Hapoel Tel Aviv are taking part in the draw for the second qualifying round of the UEFA Conference League, with their European campaigns set to begin on July 23 and July 30. The draw took place on June 17, and the clubs will soon know which opponents await them in Europe.
Beitar Jerusalem, which skips the first qualifying round, enters directly into the second round as an unseeded side. Its possible opponents are AEK Larnaca of Cyprus, CFR Cluj of Romania, Spartak Trnava of Slovakia, or the winner of the tie between The New Saints of Lithuania and Linamiskond of Estonia.
Hapoel Tel Aviv also had its potential opponents narrowed before the draw. It could be paired with Ludogorets of Bulgaria, Rakow of Poland, Apollon Limassol of Cyprus, the winner between Dinamo City of Albania and Astana of Kazakhstan, or the winner between Dinamo Minsk of Belarus and Sileks of North Macedonia.
Both Israeli clubs must survive three rounds to reach the Conference League group stage, two qualifying rounds and a playoff round. The second qualifying round first leg is on July 23, the return leg is on July 30, and the qualification stage ends on August 27 with the playoff second leg.
