Beitar Jerusalem and Hapoel Tel Aviv are taking part in the draw for the second qualifying round of the UEFA Conference League, with the matchups for their European campaigns set to be revealed shortly. The competition, UEFA's third-tier club tournament, will hold the first legs on July 23 and the return legs on July 30.
Beitar, the Jerusalem club, will skip the first qualifying round and enter directly into the second round. Because it is unseeded, it could face AEK Larnaca of Cyprus, CFR Cluj of Romania, Spartak Trnava of Slovakia, or the winner of the tie between Hegelmann of Lithuania and Levadia Tallinn of Estonia.
Hapoel Tel Aviv's options were also narrowed ahead of the draw. It can be paired with Ludogorets of Bulgaria, Rakow of Poland, Apollon Limassol of Cyprus, the winner of Dinamo City of Albania against Astana of Kazakhstan, or the winner of Dinamo Minsk of Belarus against Sileks of North Macedonia.
Both Israeli clubs must survive three rounds to reach the Conference League group stage, two qualifying rounds and a playoff round. The second qualifying-round draw is being held on June 17, and the qualifying phase will end on August 27 with the second leg of the playoff round.
