Fuel Prices to Drop Sunday Night Following Tax Cut
The price of gasoline in Israel is expected to decrease by NIS 0.50 per liter starting Sunday night, November 12th. The Ministry of Finance published the decree for public comment, which proposes a reduction in the excise tax on gasoline. Following the public comment period, which concludes on Sunday, Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich is expected to sign the decree.
The price adjustment will take effect at midnight between Sunday and Monday, meaning consumers will see the lower price at the pump when they refuel starting Monday morning. This measure aims to alleviate some of the financial burden on the public.
