Israel Braces for Heatwave with Temperatures Soaring to Nearly 40 Degrees

Israel is expected to experience hot and dry weather on Thursday, September 3rd, with temperatures remaining high across most of the country, some exceeding seasonal averages. Clear skies are forecast with no precipitation expected. In Jerusalem, temperatures will reach 32 degrees Celsius, while Tel Aviv and Haifa will see highs of 32 and 31 degrees respectively. Ashdod and Ashkelon are also forecast to reach around 32 degrees. Beer Sheva will experience a high of 34 degrees, and the Tiberias and Sea of Galilee region will reach 38 degrees. The southern part of the country is predicted to be the hottest, with Eilat reaching 39 degrees and the Dead Sea area around 38 degrees. The Golan Heights will see temperatures up to 37 degrees. Moderate winds are expected along the Mediterranean coast. Despite the warm water temperatures making coastal recreation suitable, authorities advise caution during the peak heat hours.
