Israel Weather Forecast: Hot Temperatures Persist Through Early September

Israel is expected to experience hot weather on Thursday, September 3rd, with temperatures remaining above average for early September. While continental areas will see a slight one-degree Celsius drop, coastal regions will remain unchanged. The water temperature in the Mediterranean Sea will reach up to 30 degrees Celsius, with slight to moderate waves ranging from 30 to 60 cm. The Sea of Galilee will have water temperatures of 32 degrees Celsius and waves between 30 and 70 cm. In the Red Sea's Eilat Bay, water temperatures will be around 29 degrees Celsius with slight waves of 20 to 40 cm.

Air temperatures across various cities include Jerusalem at 30°C day/19°C night, Tel Aviv at 31°C day/25°C night, and Haifa at 32°C day/24°C night. More extreme temperatures are forecast for Afula and Kiryat Shmona at 35°C day/24°C night, Tiberias at 36°C day/24°C night, and Katzrin in the Golan Heights at 37°C day/23°C night. Eilat will experience the highest temperatures, reaching 40°C during the day and 30°C at night. The Dead Sea area near Ein Gedi will see 37°C day/27°C night.

Looking ahead, a further one-degree Celsius warming is anticipated for Tuesday, with similar temperatures expected on Wednesday.
