IDF Neutralizes Over 26 Kilometers of Gaza Terror Tunnels Since Ceasefire
Israeli forces operating in northern Gaza have neutralized over 26 kilometers of terror tunnel infrastructure since the start of the current ceasefire. The Northern Brigade, under the command of Division 99 and in cooperation with the Yahalom engineering unit, is continuing its operations to clear the area near the "yellow line" (a security demarcation) of terror infrastructure and protect Israeli forces and communities.
In recent weeks, an additional kilometer-long underground tunnel route was destroyed as part of the ongoing efforts to locate and dismantle terror infrastructure in the region. These efforts are focused east of the yellow line.
IDF Southern Command forces remain deployed in the area according to the terms of the ceasefire agreement and will continue to operate to remove any immediate threats. The military has released dramatic footage of the capture of a senior Hamas official in the heart of Gaza.
