IDF Neutralizes Over 26 Kilometers of Gaza Tunnels
The Northern Brigade of Division 99, operating in northern Gaza, has neutralized over 26 kilometers of underground tunnel infrastructure east of the "yellow line" since the ceasefire began. These efforts are part of ongoing operations to secure IDF forces and southern residents by clearing the area of terror infrastructure.
In recent weeks, forces collaborated with the elite Yahalom engineering unit to locate and destroy a kilometer-long tunnel posing a potential threat. This action is in addition to broader operations conducted in the sector since the ceasefire took effect.
The neutralized tunnel network was designed for post-operation activities or regrouping by terror organizations. The IDF stated that its forces remain deployed in the area according to the precise terms of the ceasefire agreement and are prepared to act assertively to remove any immediate threats and maintain security.
