Israel to Distribute Early Wage Subsidy Payments Ahead of Holidays
The Israel Tax Authority announced that eligible citizens will receive the second installment of the 2025 wage subsidy payments on Wednesday, September 9, 2026. This early disbursement, over a month ahead of the legal deadline, aims to provide financial assistance to citizens before the upcoming autumn holidays. The funds are expected to reach recipients' bank accounts by the end of next week.
The wage subsidy is a government program designed to improve the financial well-being of low-income workers and reduce social inequality. The application process is now entirely electronic and available on the Tax Authority's official website.
This year, the second payment wave was moved from mid-October to an earlier date due to the proximity of the holiday season. Eligibility criteria include employed individuals and self-employed persons over 21 who have children, as well as individuals over 55 regardless of parental status, provided their income does not exceed legal limits. An additional supplement is available for parents of children under three years old. Furthermore, working women over 60 may be eligible for an advance on future payments. Applications for previous periods can be submitted online until the end of the current year.
