National Insurance Advances Holiday Pension Payments to Support Families Ahead of Jewish New Year
In preparation for the upcoming Jewish holidays of Rosh Hashanah and Sukkot, Israel's National Insurance Institute announced an advancement of pension and allowance payments to millions of beneficiaries. This decision aims to help families, retirees, and other recipients manage their holiday expenses with financial ease.
Unemployment benefits and income support payments originally scheduled for September 14 will now be disbursed earlier on September 8, ahead of Rosh Hashanah. Additionally, pensions for senior citizens, survivors, disability allowances, child disability benefits, special services, mobility, work injury victims, alimony, rehabilitation, nursing care, and prisoners of Zion will be paid on September 22 instead of the original date of September 28, in time for Sukkot.
The National Insurance Institute emphasized that this adjustment is intended to provide recipients with the financial flexibility needed to prepare for the holidays calmly. Further updates for pension recipients were also mentioned but not detailed in the announcement.
