Work Grant Payments Advanced Ahead of Jewish High Holidays
The second payment of the Work Grant for the 2025 eligibility year will be advanced to Wednesday, September 9, 2026, instead of the originally scheduled October 15. This acceleration is intended to help eligible recipients utilize the funds in advance of the upcoming Jewish High Holidays (Chagim). The funds will be directly deposited into the bank accounts of those who qualify.
The Work Grant is available to both salaried employees and self-employed individuals who meet specific legal criteria. Eligibility generally requires individuals to be at least 21 years old and parents, or at least 55 years old, even without children, subject to established conditions. The grant is disbursed in installments based on the application date.
Starting from 2024, an additional grant is available for parents of toddlers up to age three. Furthermore, employed women born after January 1, 1960, who are over 60 and meet the legal requirements, can apply for an advance payment towards their 2026 Work Grant.
Applications for the 2024 Work Grant can be submitted online until December 31, 2026.
