Israel Tax Authority Advances Grant Payments Ahead of Jewish Holidays
The Israel Tax Authority has decided to expedite the second installment of the 2025 work grant, disbursing it on Wednesday, September 9, 2026. This payment, typically scheduled for October 15, will be sent over a month early to allow recipients to utilize the funds before the Tishrei holiday season. The grants will be deposited directly into recipients' bank accounts by the end of the following week.
The work grant is intended to improve the financial situation of low-wage workers, reduce socioeconomic disparities, and encourage labor market participation. It is available to eligible employees and self-employed individuals aged 21 and over who are parents, or individuals aged 55 and over who meet income criteria, even without children.
Since 2024, an additional payment is available for parents of children under three years old. Furthermore, employed women born after January 1, 1960, and over 60, who meet specific legal criteria, can apply for an advance on their 2026 work grant. Applications for the 2024 work grant remain open online through the Tax Authority's website until December 31, 2026.
